Vicki Pompea: Home

Vicki is a folksinger and songwriter based in Fort Collins, Colorado.  She writes songs with humor and heart, and has been called a "female John Denver." Vicki also shares songs from the 60’s through the present. She enjoys performing songs that create connections.

You'll hear Vicki's music at farmers' markets, coffee shops, house concerts, and small festivals. Her performances are welcoming, relaxing, and entertaining. They are filled with insightful lyrics, intelligent musings and humorous observations. She has the catlike reflexes of a dim-witted ninja.

Vicki grew up playing cello, singing while vacuuming, and listening to Broadway show tunes. None of which seem to have influenced her music. But she has been influenced by the likes of John Prine, Nanci Griffith, Steve Seskin, Cheryl Wheeler, David Wilcox, Kathy Mattea, Bill Staines, Mary Chapin Carpenter, CSN (and sometimes Y) and of course, John Denver.
